The Beagle

Posted in Work Week by sarasheehy on 26 February 2010

A little known and much hated clause in Murphy’s Law goes something like “Right before a vacation life will be busy, hectic, and you’ll probably have to travel for work.”  After working for three days in Boise, I have returned home to leave for vacation in the morning.

In Boise I stayed with friends who own this adorable dog named Pesto.  Pesto turns me into a big ball of sucker, and I end up cuddling on the floor with her most every evening.

So with that, I’m off to Grand Targhee!  I’ll be back, with plenty of photography to share, in a week.

Evening Light, Ridgeline

Posted in Image of the Day by sarasheehy on 5 February 2010

I captured these layers of evening light on my way home from work.  The front of the range was already cast in shadow while the sun illuminated the higher peaks.  In the bottom left foreground are tracks from backcountry skiers.

Home, Moonrise

Posted in Image of the Day by sarasheehy on 2 February 2010

Last night I saw this unusual combination of light reflecting off a snowy roof with moonrise on the ridge right behind.  I like the contrast of soft, warm light and crisp, cool light in the same scene.
