Tumble, Targhee
I haven’t shared as much as I intended to from Targhee, but I’ve been, well, busy. I have been told I’m attempting to do too many life-altering-and-stressful-things in the same year. Which is most likely true. And sometimes it makes me feel a bit like Greg did during this little incident. He built this jump after a night of whiskey, so I like to call it the “Makers Mark Jump.”
Happy Spring, Luncheon
Today we gathered with friends for a first day of Spring luncheon. Annie, the master chef, made a lamb top round, beet and carrot salad with ricotta cheese, peas and rice with mint, and lemon mousse for dessert. We added homemade chocolate cupcakes with butter cream frosting. What a delightful way to start Spring.
Skiing Middle Earth
At Grand Targhee there is a bowl between the main mountain and Mary’s Nipple that feeds directly into a deliciously named run – Middle Earth. Middle Earth consistently had the best powder on the mountain.
Portrait, High Contrast
I’m back! I have many images to share from my week-long adventure in Targhee, but I thought I’d kick off the posting with a mustache shot. Mike has been growing out his mustache for quite a while now, and decided to shave it off today (it was scaring the dog!). Before he did, I set up a high-contrast white shoot to memorialize the only mustache I’ve ever seen on him. I enjoy how his dark hair and eyes stand out so much against the white backdrop.
