National Geographic Pristine Seas

Social Media Manager (Contract)

Since 2019, I have led social media narrative strategy and content execution for National Geographic Pristine Seas, a program launched in 2008 to inspire the protection of the ocean’s last wild places. Since its inception, Pristine Seas has helped establish 30 of the world’s largest marine protected areas, covering a total area of 6.9 million square kilometers.

In this role, I craft and publish stories of ocean exploration, science, and policy to inspire, educate, and activate a global audience of 2.7 million followers.

Collaborating closely with the Pristine Seas team and drawing from an extensive archive collected during nearly 50 expeditions, I engage the program’s digital community to drive impact and champion the goal of protecting 30% of the ocean by 2030.
